Company designs and manufactures highly reliable custom Keyless
Switches and Keyless Entry Systems for emergency, public service,
construction, recreational and other vehicles,
for controlling use, entry to secure areas and for other limited access applications.
These microprocessor controlled
systems provide multiple outputs which can be utilized to perform
independent functions such as lock, unlock, up, down, on, off,
flashing and timed operations in response to codes entered on
the keypad. These codes are user defined and are field
programmable.
Control modules are available with
one, five, twelve or
twenty outputs.
The keypad codes are stored in
non-volatile memory and, in the event of a power interruption to the
control module, are automatically restored when power is
reapplied.
The basic unit can be adapted to
Customer's requirements by software changes, thus keeping design and
modification costs to a minimum. A wiring harness is provided with the
control module.
The
keypad consists of 5 buttons (membrane switches) numbered 1
through 5 or
1/2 through
9/0*. A light emitting diode (LED) on the
keypad provides visual feedback to the user when entering codes.
The
keypad is available with LED back lighting using fiber optics. The back light comes on
whenever a key is pressed, and remains on for 30 seconds after the last
key is pressed. Two (or more) keypads may be used with the
multiple output control modules to allow codes to be entered at
different locations.
Custom
keypads with 10 (or more) buttons are available. Keypad graphics can be customized to match Customer's color schemes.
Keypads can be supplied sealed in a bezel with silicone adhesive to
ensure a watertight installation.
*Note:
If 1/2 through
9/0 key numbering is used with a 5 button
keypad, each key represents two numbers and does not
increase the number of codes available. Non-unique codes are
possible. For example, 1-3-5-7-9 is the same code as 2-4-6-8-0.
